道紀章第十四
視之不見，名曰夷；聽之不聞，名曰希；搏之不得，名曰微。此三者不可致詰，故混而為一。其上不 皦，其下不 昧。繩繩不可名，復歸於無物。是謂無狀之狀，無物之象，是謂惚恍。迎之不見其首，隨之不見其後。執古之道，以御今之有。能知古始，是謂道紀。
第 十 四 章
视 之 不 见 ， 名 曰 夷 ﹔
听 之 不 闻 ， 名 曰 希 ﹔
搏 之 不 得 ， 名 曰 微 。
此 三 者 不 可 致 诘 ， 故 混 而 为 一 。
其 上 不 皦 ， 其 下 不 昧 。
绳 绳 兮 不 可 名 ， 复 归 于 物 。
是 谓 无 状 之 状 ， 无 物 之 象 ， 是 谓 惚 恍 。
迎 之 不 见 其 首 ， 随 之 不 见 其 后 。
执 古 之 道 ， 以 御 今 之 有 。
能 知 古 始 ， 是 谓 道 纪 。
Dì shísì zhāng shì zhī bùjiàn, míng yuē yí﹔ tīng zhī bù wén, míng yuē xī﹔ bó zhī bùdé, míng yuē wēi. Cǐ sān zhě bùkě zhì jí, gù hùn ér wéi yī. Qí shàng bù jiǎo, qí xià bù mèi. Shéng shéng xī bùkě míng, fùguī yú wù. Shì wèi wú zhuàng zhī zhuàng, wúwù zhī xiàng, shì wèi hū huǎng. Yíng zhī bùjiàn qí shǒu, suí zhī bùjiàn qí hòu. Zhí gǔ zhī dào, yǐ yù jīn zhī yǒu. Néng zhī gǔ shǐ, shì wèi dào jì.
14. Mystery
Looked at but cannot be seen - it is beneath form;
Listened to but cannot be heard - it is beneath sound;
Held but cannot be touched - it is beneath feeling;
These depthless things evade definition,
And blend into a single mystery.
In its rising there is no light,
In its falling there is no darkness,
A continuous thread beyond description,
Lining what cannot occur;
Its form formless,
Its image nothing,
Its name silence;
Follow it, it has no back,
Meet it, it has no face.
Attend the present to deal with the past;
Thus you grasp the continuity of the Way,
Which is its essence.
看见而不晓得，叫做"夷"；听到而不明白，叫做"希"；摸索而不可得，叫做 "微"。"夷希微"三者，不可思议，难究其竟，所以它们混而为一。在他之上不再有光明，在他之下不再有黑暗。难以言说的无限延绵啊，又复归于空虚无物。他是没有状态的状态，没有形象的形象，叫做恍惚。迎面看不见他的先头，追踪抓不着他的尾迹。
秉持上古之道，可以把握当今万有，知道其由来始末，这便是大道的要领了。
