London's newest tourist attraction has disappointed visitors to the centre of the British capital.
Designed by Dutch architecture company MVRDV, the Marble Arch Mound is a 25 meter artificial hill that offers views of Hyde Park, Oxford Street and other famous areas of London.
City officials hope the attraction will help bring people back to the centre of London after more than a year of restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, just a few days after it opened the Marble Arch Mound began offering refunds to tourists who were unhappy with their visit.
Visitors compared the hill to a construction site, and said that it does not look like the pictures on the Marble Arch Mound website. A promised shop and café have not yet been finished.
Westminster Council, which is in charge of the hill, have said that parts of the attraction "are not yet ready for visitors." They also said that anyone who booked a ticket during the first week that the attraction was open will be offered their money back, and a free ticket for another visit at a later date.
The council said it plans to continue improving the Marble Arch Mound until it is taken down in January 2022.
