Description
When it comes to energy storage products, what often comes to mind are large-scale grid storage and commercial/industrial storage equipment. However, with the advancement of technology, evolving consumer preferences, and a global focus on efficient energy utilization, more and more energy storage products are becoming household-friendly and portable.
Portable mobile energy storage systems typically consist of battery packs, battery management systems (BMS), power conversion systems (PCS), and energy management systems (EMS), with energy storage batteries and converters being the high-value core components.
Self-driving tours, outdoor camping, and similar activities have become increasingly popular. In addition to traditional camping gear, small household appliances such as rice cookers, kettles, coffee makers, projectors, drones, cameras, portable air conditioners, and coolers are gradually becoming essential equipment for 'glamping' or glamorous camping.
The camping trend has boosted surrounding industries, and portable energy storage products are emerging as a rapidly growing new category.
These products are mainly aimed at outdoor lighting, emergency lighting, mobile stalls, field operations, etc., providing power for activities such as mobile phone charging, LED lighting, aerial photography, AC/DC fans, and other AC/DC devices. They integrate control circuits, inverter circuits, and lithium batteries, making them easy to carry and simple to use.
Advantages of Portable Energy Storage Products:
Higher capacity
More diverse interfaces
Portability
Support for charging multiple digital devices simultaneously
Support for multiple charging methods
Short charging time and long endurance, among others.
Types of Portable Energy Storage Products:
Portable energy storage products can be divided into two categories based on their single-machine energy capacity:
Small, lightweight devices with capacities ranging from 0.5 to 3 kWh
Larger devices with capacities ranging from 5 kWh to 30 kWh, mainly targeting the market previously served by gasoline generators.
In addition to pre-charging, portable energy storage can also be paired with solar panels. Solar panels typically have output powers ranging from 60W to 400W per panel. This allows for outdoor solar charging when the battery is depleted, forming a small solar power generation system and extending the power supply's endurance.
Grevault has already developed a 5 kWh portable mobile energy storage system and a 10 kWh industrial energy storage station, both of which have been fully launched into the market and have been sold to multiple countries worldwide.
