本集介紹

同學們是否曾想像在NASA上班會是什麼樣的感覺?本篇內容介紹到NASA總部的行星保護單位-行星保衛組(Planetary Protection)，他們的工作除了讓地球免於外星生物的汙染，同時也保育其他行星免於被地球細菌所傷害。而Cassini衛星為我們示範了經典的例子，在採集完樣本後自行焚毀，這樣不僅可以避免將細菌帶回地球，也可以避免衛星上的細菌對該行星造成傷害，這個概念就和永續發展一樣，別的行星跟地球一樣是物種的家鄉，我們希望在地球上活得長久，相同的別人也是。
