Today's guest is Effie Huang, manager of TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), which is a nonprofit government-co-sponsored trade promotion organization in Taiwan and is responsible for many of the key industry events in Taiwan, including TIMTOS (Taipei International Machine Tool Show), Computex, Taipei Cycle, and so on. TIMTOS has been held since 1975 and features a variety of machine tools and related products, including metal cutting machines, metal forming machines, CNC machines, industrial robots, and more. The exhibition provides a platform for manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers to showcase their products and services, as well as to network and learn about the latest industry trends and technologies.
2023 is a groundbreaking year for TIMTOS because it is the first year after the pandemic, Taiwan has foreign visitors. Effie shares three main themes in this year's TIMTOS and how they would help the industry to prepare moving forward.
