About the Speaker/講者
Serge Danylov is a deputy director of the Association of Middle East Studies (https://uames.org.ua/pro-nas/) AMES was involved many project in Crimea prior to 2014, such as research projects about the Crimean and Muslim identities and their transformations in Crimea as well as conflict prevention interventions in the local communities. From 2014 Serge was in charge of projects in Kherson region directed at increasing the resilience of the local communities against Russian propaganda and aggression, community building and development of the local self-government. Since then he has built a wide network of connections in the local communities, and still staying in touch with many people inside of the occupation.
