佛光山佛陀紀念館在2011年落成，是國際博物館協會(ICOM)正式會員。
其中最有特色的就是擁有亞洲最大、最高的坐佛——佛光大佛。
園區裡規劃有三好兒童館、四給塔文化廣場、五和塔喜慶之家，
還有佛教植物園區、雙閣樓人文空間和茶禪一味等等設施，
如果進入地宮還可以看到佛陀的再生舍利，以及佛教的古文物，
走在成佛大道上到佛陀紀念館的這一段路，
即使周圍的人潮再多，都能感受到一份安詳和莊嚴。
