Today, I would like to give you a brief introduction about a very attractive and charming person. The author is called Roland. He was born in 1992, so he is now 29 years old. Roland is a Japanese host, fashion model, and entrepreneur. He is the host club sales record holder. He has been nicknamed "King of the Hosts". He made more than 300 million yen a year when he was 26 years old. Now he runs a host club, and he also has a YouTube channel: The Roland Show. This book is regarded as his autobiography, telling his way of life.

今天，我想給大家簡單介紹一個非常有吸引力和魅力的人。作者叫羅蘭(Roland)。他是1992年出生的，今年29歲。羅蘭是日本男公關、時裝模特和企業家。他是男公關俱樂部銷售記錄保持者。有「男公關帝王」的綽號。 26歲那年，他的年收入超過3億日元。現在他經營著一個男公關俱樂部，他還有一個 YouTube 頻道：The Roland Show。這本書被視為他的自傳，講述了他的生活方式。

What is the “Host Club”? A host club is a type of night club found in Japan. Male hosts pour drinks and will often flirt with their clients. The conversations are generally light-hearted. Hosts may have a variety of entertainment skills, like simple magic tricks or charisma with which to tell a story. Roland is the king of host clubs. According to the pictures of this book, Roland has long blond hair and a beautiful face. In addition to being gentle and considerate, he is also very confident and manly. In fact, his life has not always been so smooth. Since he was young, he wanted to play soccer and become a professional player, but he was not selected as a soccer player.

什麼是「男公關俱樂部」？男公關俱樂部是一種主要在日本的夜總會。男公關倒酒給客人，經常與客戶調情。談話通常是輕鬆愉快的。男公關可能具有多種娛樂才藝，例如簡單的魔術或講故事的魅力。羅蘭是男公關界的帝王。根據這本書的圖片，羅蘭有著長長的金髮和一張漂亮的臉。除了溫柔體貼外，他還非常自信和具有男子氣概。事實上，他的生活並不總是一帆風順。他從小就想踢足球，想成為一名職業球員，但後來沒有被選為足球員。

His parents asked him to go to university, but he didn’t want to go to school anymore. He felt that it was boring to go to the university because he didn’t want to be an ordinary person. He wanted to create his own history, so he didn’t go to the university, and he took the challenge at the age of 18. He joined the host club. It’s not easy for him at the beginning. He said that he had poor performance in the first year. He only ate a piece of bread a day, but he reached 10 million yen in about half a year. When he was 20 years old, he bought the store he served and became the owner.

他的父母想讓他上大學，但他不想再上學了。他覺得上大學很無聊，因為他不想做一個普通人。他想創造自己的歷史，所以沒有上大學，18歲時他就接受了挑戰，加入了男公關俱樂部。一開始對他來說並不容易。他說他第一年的表現很差。一天只能吃一片麵包，半年後，他的業績就達到了1000萬日元。 20歲那年，他買下了自己服務的那家店，成為了社長。

Although Roland succeeded at a young age, many people criticized him because they thought he is too arrogant. Roland's response is also very wise, for example, he had some famous sayings, such as "There are only two kinds of men in the world, me, and the others." This is the title of this book. Wow, you may think this guy is crazy. But actually, Roland is very kind, he donated half of this book’s royalties to Cambodia’s school, and half royalties are used to help reconstruction activities due to the Great Earthquake in Japan.

雖然羅蘭年紀輕輕就取得了成功，但很多人都批評他，認為他太狂妄了。羅蘭的回應也很睿智，比如他有句名言，像是「世界上只有兩種男人，我，和我以外的。」這就是這本書的書名。哇，你可能覺得這傢伙瘋了。但實際上，羅蘭很善良，他把書的一半版稅捐給了柬埔寨來建學校，一半的版稅用於幫助日本地震災後重建活動。

Roland is well-known in Japan and Taiwan. There is one thing we can learn from him. That is “Charisma”. In Chinese, it’s called 克里斯瑪, this word is similar to leadership but more than that. According to the dictionary, the definition of charisma is

羅蘭在日本和台灣都很有名。我們可以從他身上學到一件事。那就是「魅力」。中文叫「克里斯瑪」，這個詞與領導力相似，但不止於此。根據字典，魅力的定義是

“A special power that some people have naturally that makes them able to influence other people and attract their attention and admiration”.

「有些人天生就有一種特殊的力量，可以影響別人，吸引別人的注意和欽佩」

Just like some politician and superstars. For the general public, we can also get some power of charisma. How? Just be yourself. Like Roland, I think many people don’t like Roland’s job, but he is so brave that he can take the risk to do something he really likes. According to Roland, he said

就像一些政治家和超級明星一樣。對於普通大眾，我們也可以獲得一些魅力的力量。如何做到呢？做你自己。像羅蘭，我想很多人都不欣賞羅蘭的工作，但他很勇敢，可以冒險去做自己真正喜歡的事情。根據羅蘭的說法，他說

“Since I was young, I have felt that I am special. I don't belong anywhere, and I don't want to belong anywhere. I am such a child. This sentence is what I have often said since I was young. There are only two kinds of students in this school, me, and others. I don’t want to live as someone who is classified as a "so-and-so type." After I grew up, I noticed one thing. To accomplish something historic, one must have a certain degree of self-interest and believe that oneself is a special existence. In order to claim to be a special existence, it is of course necessary to work hard and have the courage".

「我從小就覺得自己很特別。我不屬於任何地方，也不想屬於任何地方。我就是這樣的孩子。所以，這句話是我從小就經常說的話。這所學校只有兩種學生，我和其他人。我不想像被歸類為“某某類型”的人一樣生活。長大後，我注意到一件事。要成就一件具有歷史意義的事情，就必須有一定的利己主義，相信自己是一個特殊的存在。要想自稱特殊的存在，當然要努力，要有勇氣。」
