«The novel “Russian Monarchy” was written by me in an intellectual discussion that was conducted several years ago on the radio station blog — “Echo of Moscow”.
It is dedicated to one very complicated question — Russian history, the question of the hereditary Monarchy in Russia, as the most important institution for organizing its power and the execution of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II with his Imperor family in Siberia.
Much in this matter is striking and astonishing.
Perhaps, to this question the Russian public was forced to return and the fact that after the execution of the imperor family, terrible times have come in Russia: terrible wars were began, millions of people were killed and in Russia were terrible starvations.
The new revolutionary government failed the solve any of these questions.
This situation of Russian society has uninterrupted for a hundred years, and we unwittingly begin to compare the Russian Monarchy, which has ruled Russia for several centuries and successfully ruled with the shortcomings of power that are inherent of our modern society.
The figure of Emperor Nicholas II, perhaps, we just now began to understand the level of his intellect and education, and the possibilities of the imperor monarchy in Russia.
