輜重章第二十六
重為輕根，靜為躁君。是以君子終日行不離 輜重，雖有榮觀，燕處超然。奈何萬乘之主，而以身輕天下﹖輕則失根，躁則失君。

第 二 十 六 章
重 为 轻 根 ， 静 为 躁 君 。
是 以 君 子 终 日 行 不 离 辎 重 。
虽 有 荣 观 ， 燕 处 超 然 。
奈 何 万 乘 之 主 ， 而 以 身 轻 天 下 。
轻 则 失 根 ， 躁 则 失 君 。

Dì èrshíliù zhāng
zhòng wèi qīng gēn, jìng wèi zào jūn. Shì yǐ jūn zi zhōngrì xíng bùlí zīzhòng. Suī yǒu róng guān, yàn chù chāorán. Nàihé wàn chéng zhī zhǔ, ér yǐ shēn qīng tiānxià. Qīng zé shī gēn, zào zé shī jūn.

26. Calm
Gravity is the source of lightness,
Calm, the master of haste.

A lone traveller will journey all day, watching over his belongings;
Yet once safe in his bed he will lose them in sleep.

The captain of a great vessel will not act lightly or hastily.
Acting lightly, he loses sight of the world,
Acting hastily, he loses control of himself.

A captain cannot treat his great ship as a small boat;
Rather than glitter like jade
He must stand like stone.

重是轻的根基，静是躁的主人。
所以君子每天出行时都带着辎重。虽有荣华壮观，他却安然超脱。然而有的大国君主，只重自身，轻慢天下，以致灭亡。
轻浮就会失根，骄躁就会失控。

重是輕的根基，靜是躁的主人。
