Australia's biggest airline Qantas has agreed to pay a A$100m ($66.1m, £52.7m) penalty to settle a legal case accusing it of selling thousands of tickets for flights it had already cancelled. Under the deal with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the firm will also launch a plan worth up to A$20m to compensate affected passengers. Qantas' Chief Executive, Vanessa Hudson, said the move represented an important step toward "restoring confidence in the national carrier." The so-called "ghost flight" case, which was launched by the ACCC in August, claimed that in some instances Qantas had sold tickets for flights that had been cancelled for weeks. Kanye West has weighed in on the simmering feud between Drake, J Cole and Kendrick Lamar. The spat has been escalating since last year, when Cole referred to the trio as "the big three", a description that Lamar forcefully rejected. West, a long-time adversary of Drake, has now added his two cents, on a remix of Lamar, Future and Metro Boomin's song Like That. "I can't even think of a Drake line," he said, attacking the star's lyrics. West also criticised Drake's record deal with Universal Music, suggesting he'd sold the rights to his music for "little bag" (money). "Lifetime deal? Brixton Academy is to reopen for the first time since a stampede which left two people dead in December 2022. The south London venue's license was suspended after a concert by Afro-pop singer Asake, when large numbers of people attempted to enter the hall. Gaby Hutchinson, 23, and Rebecca Ikumelo, 33, were killed. Another woman is still hospitalized. The Metropolitan Police say they are "focused on establishing exactly what happened on this tragic evening".
