Met Gala 2024: Zendaya, Cardi B and Sabrina Carpenter lead eye-catching looks

Met Gala 2024: Zendaya, Cardi B and Sabrina Carpenter lead eye-catching looks

🄴 theblownews

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking. This year's Met Gala theme would not have impressed The Devil Wears Prada's demon magazine editor Miranda Priestly, but it hasn't stopped a string of stars from walking the green carpet in their garden-inspired garments. A-listers were invited to be imaginative with the 2024 dress code, The Garden of Time, which was inspired by a short story of the same name by JG Ballard. Most stars took it literally, taking inspiration from flowers, petals, branches and leaves, while others played around with the short story's themes of time and history. https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/we-are-ep6/ep-6 https://ticketbud.com/events/9865e2a0-0c27-11ef-bdc9-42010a71702d https://we-are-ep6.format.com/ https://mymarvellousdreamisyouep1.format.com/ https://ticketbud.com/events/e02a6de4-0c2d-11ef-bfc0-42010a71702d https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/mymarvellousdreamisyouep1/o-ep-1-1184831551 https://bangkokkhanikaep1.format.com/ https://ticketbud.com/events/5df19ffe-0c33-11ef-9c07-42010a71702d https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/bangkokkhanikaep1/o-ep-1 Here are 21 of the most eye-catching outfits: 1. Camila Cabello badly needs a pair of gloves Normally when stars talk about wearing ice, they're referring to diamonds. In Camila Cabello's case, however, she's referring to actual frozen water. "My hands are really cold," the singer said, adding she was planning to pass the huge block on to someone else after she reached the top of the stairs. "I can't feel my hands." The large block of ice, which featured a rose in the centre, accessorised her Ludovic de Saint Sernin gown, which featured 250,000 crystals and reportedly took more than 450 hours to make. 2. Levy and Edebiri split themselves in two The Bear actress Ayo Edebiri and Schitt's Creek star Dan Levy both opted to keep their floral designs on the down low, with outfits that looked traditional from the top but bloomed from the waist down. Edebiri wore a backless column dress with a hand-embroidered floral pattern intended to create the illusion of blossoming. Similarly, Levy wore what looked like a classic suit from the top half, but which faded a into a bright floral motif lower down. 3. Demi Moore is ready for a spot of archery We've got to hand it to her, Demi Moore had one of the best looks of the night, even if she forgot to bring a bow to go with her arrows. The actress's velvet dress, designed by Harris Reed, was adorned with huge pink peonies made from vintage archival wallpaper. Reed said the dress took more than 5,000 hours to make, adding that it was designed so the flowers would appear to decay as the design flowed further down the dress. Powered by Firstory Hosting

Drake denies allegations of underage relationships in Kendrick Lamar song

Drake denies allegations of underage relationships in Kendrick Lamar song

🄴 theblownews

Drake has denied allegations of having relationships with underage women, and of harbouring a secret love child, which were raised in a diss track by his rival Kendrick Lamar. It comes amid an increasingly bitter war of words between the two stars, who have released a flurry of songs attacking each other over the weekend. https://weareep6.rakosell.com/ https://weareep6.format.com/ https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/weareep6/we-are-ep-6-6 https://weareep6.unicornplatform.page/ https://github.com/WeareEp6 https://lovelyrunnerep10thaisub.rakosell.com/ https://lovelyrunnerep10.unicornplatform.page/ In Drake's latest offering, The Heart Part 6, he says he "feels disgusted" by Lamar's claims, and suggests he deliberately fed the star incorrect information in the hope he'd use it. Lamar's accusations came in his third attack song of the weekend, called Not Like Us. "Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young," he raps. "Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A minor." He had previously alluded to the allegation on a separate track, Meet The Grahams, in a verse addressed to Drake's mother, Sandra. "We gotta raise our daughters knowing there's predators like him lurking… I'm looking to shoot through any pervert that lives, keep the family safe." Lamar also claimed that Drake had a daughter who he had been keeping secret from the public. Powered by Firstory Hosting

Qantas agrees payouts over 'ghost flights'

Qantas agrees payouts over 'ghost flights'

🄴 theblownews

Australia's biggest airline Qantas has agreed to pay a A$100m ($66.1m, £52.7m) penalty to settle a legal case accusing it of selling thousands of tickets for flights it had already cancelled. Under the deal with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the firm will also launch a plan worth up to A$20m to compensate affected passengers. Qantas' Chief Executive, Vanessa Hudson, said the move represented an important step toward "restoring confidence in the national carrier." The so-called "ghost flight" case, which was launched by the ACCC in August, claimed that in some instances Qantas had sold tickets for flights that had been cancelled for weeks. The penalty agreement between Qantas and the ACCC will now have to be approved by the Federal Court of Australia. https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/ploysyearbookep9/ep-9-9 https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/lovelyrunner-ep10/ep-10-10 https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/lovelyrunner-ep9/lovely-runner-ep-9-9 https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/maritaljusticeep13/ep-13-13 https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/maritaljusticeep14/o-ep-14 Under the plan, customers who bought tickets for flights that had already been cancelled for two or more days will be entitled to compensation. According to the airline, they will receive A$225 for domestic flights and A$450 for international tickets. "When flying resumed after the Covid shutdown, we recognise Qantas let down customers" said Ms Hudson, who said she had made it a priority to restore the airline's reputation when she was appointed to the job last year. She also said the company had revamped its processes and invested in technology to avoid a repeat of the problem. "We are pleased to have secured these admissions by Qantas that it misled its customers, and its agreement that a very significant penalty is required", ACCC Chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb said. Qantas was facing a series of scandals and legal cases when Ms Hudson became the first woman to lead the airline. Her predecessor, Alan Joyce, led the company through the 2008 financial crisis, the pandemic and record fuel prices. However, by the time Mr Joyce stepped down in 2023, Qantas was facing growing public anger over expensive airfares, mass delays and cancellations, and its treatment of workers. Kanye West wades into Drake and Kendrick Lamar's feud

Kanye West wades into Drake and Kendrick Lamar's feud

🄴 theblownews

Kanye West has weighed in on the simmering feud between Drake, J Cole and Kendrick Lamar. The spat has been escalating since last year, when Cole referred to the trio as "the big three", a description that Lamar forcefully rejected. West, a long-time adversary of Drake, has now added his two cents, on a remix of Lamar, Future and Metro Boomin's song Like That. "I can't even think of a Drake line," he said, attacking the star's lyrics. West also criticised Drake's record deal with Universal Music, suggesting he'd sold the rights to his music for "little bag" (money). "Lifetime deal? I feel bad for [you]," he said. https://topmate.io/pachadathai/941517 https://feedspace.io/v/bLtd7hv https://superpeer.com/pachadathai/event/2024-fhd-thai https://superpeer.com/the-interest-thai/event/the-interest-thai-full https://superpeer.com/the-interest-thai https://feedspace.io/v/ZWJwBwY https://topmate.io/theinterestthai/941673 https://superpeer.com/aespa-world-tour-in-cinemas/event/aespa-world-tour-in-cinemas https://topmate.io/aespa_world_tour_in_cinemas_thai/941726 https://feedspace.io/v/ulAb8oQ https://topmate.io/temptingheartep17/941800 https://topmate.io/temptingheartep18/941822 https://topmate.io/temptingheartep19/941832 West's remix was premiered on Justin Laboy's radio show The Download - and opened with the line "Yo Dot, I got you," a reference to Lamar's nickname, K-Dot. He only played a snippet of the song and, although a fuller version later leaked online, it was unclear whether that was genuine or fan-made. West and Drake's animosity can be traced back to a dispute over a beat in 2018 - and culminated in an infamous song by Pusha T (and produced by West), where he revealed the existence of Drake's son Adonis. The latest war of words started on last year's Drake and J Cole collaboration First Person Shooter, where the "big three" claim originated. The seemingly innocuous comment went unremarked for months. Then, in the middle of March, Lamar delivered a fiery verse on Like That, declaring that there was no "big three - it's just big me". He went on to call Drake and Cole's best verses insubstantial ("a light pack") and claimed he was the Prince to Drake's Michael Jackson. Two weeks later, J Cole offered his own reply to Kendrick's verse, in a track called 7 Minute Drill. He called the Pulitzer Prize winner's last album, Mr Morale and The Big Steppers, "tragic" and said the star had "fallen off" his A-game. He later apologised, appearing to back out of the feud, but Drake doubled down, with a song called Push Ups (Drop And Give Me 50). Powered by Firstory Hosting

Brixton Academy will reopen for the first time since its deadly crush

Brixton Academy will reopen for the first time since its deadly crush

🄴 theblownews

Brixton Academy is to reopen for the first time since a stampede which left two people dead in December 2022. The south London venue's license was suspended after a concert by Afro-pop singer Asake, when large numbers of people attempted to enter the hall. Gaby Hutchinson, 23, and Rebecca Ikumelo, 33, were killed. Another woman is still hospitalized. The Metropolitan Police say they are "focused on establishing exactly what happened on this tragic evening". The first artists in the reopened venue will be Nirvana UK, a Nirvana tribute band, and The Smyths, who perform tracks by The Smiths. https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578105675798544392 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578097835058921475 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578092569152192517 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578084852236812295 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578072561105764355 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578070273825964041 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578061553557569541 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578050293487108100 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578046264438685698 https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1578041345920991235 Lambeth Council suspended the Brixton O2 Academy license on December 22, 2022, a week after the crush. George Fleming, founder of Save Our Scene, a campaign which supports the music industry, said: “Clearly what happened was completely tragic and there is no denying that it can never happen again. “But losing this venue would not only have been a huge blow to the local economy as well as the community, but also to the UK live music sector, which is currently being hit hard.” The victims' families had earlier paid tribute to Ms Ikumelo, a nursing graduate, from Newham in east London, and Ms Hutchinson, a security dog handler, from Gravesend in Kent.
