亞洲卓越新聞獎SOPA素有亞洲普立茲獎之稱，被公認是亞太區最具影響力的新聞大獎，為亞太區的新聞報導定下世界級標準。

這集特別節目是由2021年三位卓越環境報導獎得主：《天下雜誌》資深撰述劉光瑩、《華盛頓郵報》東南亞與香港分社社長Shibani Mahtani，以及《漢語世界》特約記者Tina Xu，對談她們針對台灣光電發展、湄公河水資源爭奪戰和中國農村廢棄物的環境調查報導。
