FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. When will KKBOX Malaysia services be discontinued?

KKBOX Malaysia will be available until 31 December 2024. After this date, the service will no longer be accessible.

2. What happens to my recurring monthly subscription?

If you are subscribed to a recurring monthly plan, your final charge will occur in November 2024.

For debit and credit card users: The last charge will be processed before 11:59 PM on 28 November 2024 (Thursday). For example, if your usual billing date is the 28th of each month, your final payment will be on 28 November 2024. You will continue to have access to the service until 28 December 2024, after which your subscription will automatically expire with no further charges.

For IAB and IAP users: The last charge will be processed before 11:59 PM on 30 November 2024 (Saturday). For example, If your usual billing date is the 29th of each month, your last payment will be on 29 November 2024. You will have access to the service until 29 December 2024, after which your subscription will automatically expire with no further charges.

3. What if I have a long-term subscription (e.g., 365 days) that extends beyond 31 December 2024?

Users with long-term plans (e.g., 365-day subscriptions) extending beyond 31 December 2024 will receive a refund for the unused portion of their subscription. Refunds will be processed by the end of February 2025.

* If the refund is unsuccessful due to account issues, we will promptly follow up to ensure you receive your refund as soon as possible.

4. Where can I check my billing date?

You can check the next scheduled billing date by logging into the Member Center > My Plan.

5. How can users who subscribed via Apple iTunes (IAP) cancel their KKBOX subscription?

Due to Apple’s policy, KKBOX cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf. Subscribers must cancel their KKBOX subscriptions before 30 November 2024 to avoid being automatically charged again.

To cancel your KKBOX subscription via Apple iTunes:

  • Go to SettingsApple IDSubscriptions → Tap KKBOX → Tap Cancel Subscription.
  • If you don’t see the Cancel option or notice an expiration message in red, the subscription has already been cancelled.

    * For users who subscribed to KKBOX via Apple iTunes and have a subscription that extends beyond 31 December 2024, our customer service team will reach out to you shortly regarding refund matters.

    6. How can users who subscribed via Google Play Store (IAB) cancel their subscription?

    Due to Google’s policy, KKBOX cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf. Subscribers must cancel their KKBOX subscriptions before 30 November 2024 to avoid being automatically charged again.

    To cancel your KKBOX subscription via the Google Play Store:

  • Tap your profile icon in the top right of the Play Store app → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions → Select KKBOX and tap Cancel subscription.
  • If KKBOX does not appear in your Google Play Subscriptions, you may have used a different payment method to subscribe.

    * For users who subscribed to KKBOX via Google Play and have a subscription that extends beyond 31 December 2024, our customer service team will reach out to you shortly regarding refund matters.

    7. How can I delete my KKBOX account?

    If you no longer wish to keep your KKBOX account, you can choose to delete it to ensure that your data is no longer stored with us. Please follow the steps outlined in this guide to delete your account.

    8. Can I keep my playlists?

    Unfortunately, playlists and saved music will no longer be accessible after the service is discontinued on 31 December 2024.
