Residents of Florida reeling once again after Hurricane Milton made landfall as a dangerous category 3 storm. Milton hitting just days after Hurricane Helene causing life threatening conditions, at least five deaths have been reported, and knocking out power to over million and a half homes and businesses. FEMA is currently on the ground in Florida assessing the situation and working with local officials and private groups ready to help those in need. With less than four weeks until the 2024 election, one that could be the closest presidential election in the nation's history, there are worries that voters in the Southeast impacted by Hurricane Helene may not be able to cast their ballots. In western North Carolina, polling places have been damaged and, in some cases, destroyed, which raises the question: Where will voters vote on Election Day?
